Quarter Three

Newsletter

Greetings, TBC members! This issue of our newsletter introduces our upcoming events and wraps up this past quarter. We would like to thank all of our wonderful members and parents for their participation and tremendous support towards our organization.

Coronavirus Update

TBC is committed to putting our members’ health first. Due to the mandate by the California Department of Public Health, we have cancelled all events until June 1st. With that said, we will be proceeding with summer Royal Regiment, Cadet Regiment, and Hastati Regiment Registration as previously planned. However, these programs’ availability is based upon the situation regarding COVID-19 in the summer months. Due to the unpredictable nature of the virus, these programs are subject to cancellation, and we will be sending out updates as the situation evolves.

2020 Summer Parades

Join Tri-City Band Corps for our Summer Parades! This year, our Royal Regiment will be performing at the Danville July 4th parade (7/4). We will also be marching exciting tunes at the Salinas Colmo del Rodeo Parade, with a group bonding at Santa Cruz Boardwalk that same day's morning (7/11). Sign up for these performances here! This is a great opportunity to play fun music while earning service hours. You can hang out with friends and make new ones! Rehearsal info can be found on the sign-up form. Registration deadline is May 15!

2020-2021 Officer Application

We are happy to announce that our general officer applications are now open! Becoming a TBC officer is a valuable experience that teaches you many valuable skills that will prepare you for the future. We work in a professional atmosphere, having high expectations of responsibility, punctuality, and integrity from all of our officers. We look forward to receiving your applications! The success of our events is all thanks to the help and dedication of our amazing officers, and you can be a part of our Officer Corps next year! Though the application was due on 4/20, we are extending our deadline for positions still available. To apply, fill out the application form here and sign up for an interview here as soon as possible. We look forward to receiving your applications!

Winter Unit Recap

Due to the novel coronavirus, the entire winter season came to an abrupt close. All WGI, CCGC, and NCBA events were cancelled in quick succession, and unfortunately, no group was able to perform at any championship. We would like to extend our thanks to all members and instructors for working so diligently these few months.

Sincerely,

Alvin Tsui
