Zach Juarbe

Battery Instructor

Graduated from Ottawa University with a BA in music education majoring in percussion, he marched with Arizona State University as snare, Momentum Winterline competitively, and has been teaching over 20 years at over 15 different high schools as the percussion caption head. He focuses on continued education, self growth and enhanced development in students to strengthen the musical morale. He continued his education and received a dual masters degree; Business Administration and Human Resources. With this wide range of educational experience his focus is to directly influence positive change, growth and love for music.

Siddhant Upadhyay

Vanguard Regiment Student Director

Siddhant Upadhyay is a senior at Mission San Jose High School. This is his second year with TBC, and he plays percussion. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, playing video games, and coding. If he had three wishes, he would choose to get lots of money, be able to run super fast, and have a really good singing voice. A fun fact about Siddhant is that every year, he goes to Lake Tahoe with his friends and family to ski on the snowy slopes. After practicing for so long, he is able to go down the steep black diamond difficulty slopes.

Vishnu Nair

Executive Director of Auxiliary Programs

Vishnu Nair is a senior at Mission San Jose High School. He plays trumpet, and has been with TBC for two years. He likes mixed martial arts, dancing, and coding. If he were granted three wishes, he would wish for the ability to control probabilities, the ability to know the answer to everything, past, present, and future, and complete knowledge on how to use the above two abilities to their best potential for any goal. He can understand and speak 4 languages as of now and is always trying to learn more. A fun fact about Vishnu is that he is able to fall asleep very quickly and easily wherever and whenever he wants to.

About Us

Founded in 2018, Vanguard Regiment (TCP-A) is an extension of the award winning Tri-City Percussion winter program. TCP-A is our effort to get back to our roots of providing music opportunities to all students, particularly those who lack options through their local schools. As such, TCP-A is open to all students and is formed from a cast of students from over half a dozen Bay Area high schools.
